But you are correct that WP ecosystem isn’t as bad as some people make it out to be.

RIM doesn’t need as much of an ecosystem because at the moment they are still focused primarily on the enterprise.

That’s a great idea but it would make the development cost of this app rise dramatically. I haven’t had the opportunity to integrate iCloud into any projects I’ve worked on but if there is the ability to integrate some form of version control with iCloud that would be ideal.

This really wouldn’t be difficult to develop, the only real challenge would be version control and document management. Creating a new document type would just be counterproductive, but just saving a new version with every session doesn’t seem very intuitive. I’d be willing to give this some time in xcode if I can think up a document management system that makes sense for this environment. It’s been said before that this would be a niche application. The key is discovering what the target user of this app would want for document management; I don’t think variety is the key, I think stability is.
