Apple iOS beta versions that i can remember never had visual changes during betas, and betas mainly exist to make the software stable, not to add features or change the look and feel.
I personally dont think that the look and feel will change until the final version. as it is already on the apple’s website and in every single advert. And these campaigns cost them millions, maybe in the next update small changes might occur but i really doubt it, next changes in look and feel will in iOS8.

Adobe was doing demos a while back on opencl, so i would assume they will change it on mac also:
for windows:
http://www.anandtech.com/show/6881/opencl-support-coming-to-adobe-premiere-pro-for-windows
in photoshop with opencl:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HLpIP65ambs
It seems to be support on new version of Davinci resolve for opencl, but i dont use it i just done a google search.
You would be surprised but a lot companies are coming around to opencl, i hope it wins over cuda has nvidia’s attitude with cuda is the same as ms with directx and it stinks.
But apples doesnt care about none of that, what i think happened here, is amd is undercutting everyone (that would explain why they also got the contracts with the consoles), and apple as usual doesn’t care much about its users, as they could give the users the choice between nvidia and amd.
It doesnt really bother me, as I am just a dev, but i can see why a lot people are fed up, its like apple is making people upgrade their hardware and software at the same time, and with this professional stuff i find this sort of attitude shitty.

While you are right, tapping into these companies sounds like an herculian task, but at the same time if these companies give away the plans and protocols and leave a connection open by ssh or rdp or whatever it is just a matter of time to get a system like this on and working, who know how long this have been in the plans.
Also, we are talking about companies with a lot people working on these tools, sometimes these people dont have full knowledge of the system they are building or the reasons to why a system is necessary, or specific tools in these applications. I think someone in the government had a very specific algorithms to traverse data and aggregate it already, and these companies just left small backdoors of each system opened for the government. Perhaps using a protocol created by the government, devs in these companies could have built these backdoors without knowing to what for they were needed.
