I agree. And Nokia knows how to do software well, so I’m pretty sure their Android skin will also be very good (considering they don’t take the Nexus route). I’d buy a Lumia Android device without thinking twice. Best Camera and Hardware meets best OS?? That’s a dream coming true!

Seems legit. I just don’t get why. Android is already open and fully customizable when rooted, and I noticed that root access is required by that app so… what’s the point?
What will be possible to do with that app that I can’t do already? Honest question.

They are desperate. They know they will have to close the doors in a couple of years, so they are already moving on. I’m sure one of the three big players (Google, Apple or Microsoft) will buy RIM/Blackberry. If Microsoft is clever, it will be one buying RIM so it can consolidate itself in the third place.

What?? Say what you want about the materials used (for the last time, it has NOTHING TO DO WITH THE DESIGN – The design is fine, the materials are bad.), but call that powerhouse of a phone a “shitty” phone is just ridiculous. The Verge users are getting as bad as Apple’s, only they worship the Nexus line.

Have you tried Moovit? It may help you on some of that.

Fantastical, mainly.

Digical is the best right now, but it still can’t hold a candle to Fantastical on iOS.

People don’t like changes. Just looks at Windows 8. Microsoft decided to change something on Window’s interface for THE FIRST TIME IN 18 YEARS and people complained so much that they are bringing back the start button.
And that was a minor change. You can extrapolate that and imagine how a weareble computer/camera will be received by the general public.

They don’t even need to release a phone running Android. Just release a Lumia with an unlocked bootloader and enough documentation about the processor, and the Android community will do the rest.

I strongly recommend using Carbon Rom. It’s rock solid, fast and with awesome battery life.

Sure, WAS a nightmare. But the fact is that they ARE working very well now and I always see people talking like they are NOT. Just look at some comments above and you will still see people saying that AOSP roms for the Exynos are unstable or are not a “a 100% working rom”, which is not true.
Comment
Not true. Even though Samsung holds information about the Exynos, the most famous AOSP roms currently available (CM10.1, AOKP, SlimBean and CarbonRom) are rock solid on my S3 (Exynos). Not only stable, but with great performance and battery life.

I love how people that usually say that AOSP roms for the exynos are not a “100% working rom”, or a rom that “sucks”, are, most of the times, Nexus users. Have you ever tried using an AOSP rom on the international S3? Well, I have. And I’m currently using one (Carbon Rom 1.7). It works like a charm. I don’t have a single problem with that rom, nor did I have any problem on other AOSP roms (tested CM10.1, AOKP and SlimBean already).
It’s a myth spread by nexus users. Sure, Samsung holds information about the exynos, and that makes it hard for developers to create a rom. But AOSP roms currently available (at least those I said before) are rock solid, with awesome battery life and performance.

I came from iOS, and the last part of your “Missed” list is exactly what I miss most from iOS: A uniform, unique, integrated visual design. I know Google is pushing Holo now, but the devs are quite not right there yet.
Also, push notifications. It works like a charm on iOS, but I only got it working right on Android using a (root only) app called “Push Notifications Fixer”.
