I’m bearish on Win8 for tablets, but one thing impressed me recently: the prototype Intel made for Android. Check out this: http://www.thinkdigit.com/Mobiles-PDAs/Lavas-Intel-based-Xolo-X900-tested_9404.html

It makes the concept of an x86 tablet running full Win8 with decent battery life much more plausible-sounding.
