You can turn Aero off, you know. Aero uses memory on your graphics card, not system RAM also the GPU is responsible for the effects, not your CPU either.

Win ME was pretty poor considering Win2K was out at the same time and that was really good.

Didn’t he say the mouse was a stupid gimmick that would never catch on?

You mean ""forgot"". It was conveniently dropped so someone could make a lousy picture alternating good/bad to make a lame point.

It’s less about getting to the BIOS than it is to be able to get to access safe mode.. What they have also done is built in convenient ways to get into the BIOS or boot to other devices/OSs without having to spam F2 or delete..

I think the animatronic models will hold up better in general in a physical sense, whether the performance will continue to look any good years down the line will depend more on the control system they use, cables/servos etc. Old films using animatronics often have very jerky performances.

Perhaps in a supermarket this sort of technology could be fitted to a shopping trolley; when the items go in the cost and total could be displayed on the total and only when you leave does it get deducted from your account…

The Office ribbon didn’t complicate anything, it set them out logically and put the more frequently used features to the front while making the older features that nobody realised were there (but kept requesting) more visible; sure, it confused some people but we don’t have laws to prevent stupid people from using computers.
You can’t please everybody.

That’s awesome, but in the UK we only get regular iPhones , and they’re not good enough :(. If I had the arm to body length ratio of a tyrannosaurus I’m sure the iPhone’s tiny screen would be fine as I would be holding the phone against my eyeballs, unfortunately my arms are of regular length and I like to hold my phone some distance away from my face.
