What a mess of comments. Hate left and right. It baffles me seemingly intelligent individuals would dedicate their lives to support/oppose brands. Discuss the products that you own or interest you… leave the rest alone.

I have mainly used Google search for years, but lately I’ve been using Bing and haven’t missed Google search. It must be that Bing is just as good for my use if I haven’t felt my experience adn results negatively affected. I also like Bing’s design and find it aesthetically pleasing. Aside from my personal perspective, there are blind tests you can do, and people have reported that not only Bing held its own against Google search, but it was the overall preferred choice during the test.

Well, that was exactly my point: Save for a few exceptions (iPhone 4), Apple’s piecemeal refresh cycles are extremely boring and predictable… at least to an outsider not heavily invested in their ecosystem.

Obviously. There was no escaping it once they went with low-end hardware. Let’s just say that this phone has 1/8 the RAM of other platform phones… it’s a miracle it can run most other apps.

Hopefully they can provide Lumia 610 users with a Skype version in the future.

It’s stupefying that what people expect from the biggest, most profitable tech company in the history of mankind, is… a slightly larger screen and one more row of icons. Heck, with their resources I would expect a completely redesigned UI to control and organize the app/icon clutter, LTE, better battery than before (despite LTE), integrated functions, etc. At the iPhone’s price-point they should be able to deliver a beautiful yet durable design using space-age materials. 70% of Apple profits come from a single product – the iPhone. They better put in the next iteration everything and anything that trumps whatever the competition is offering.

Each director works with the best medium available for their story, visualization and to exploit the screening technology available. TDK/TDKR benefits greatly from the IMAX resolution and frame format, but I’m sure he’s in favor of using digital and 3D as well if it fit one of his stories. If you look at the history of film few great directors have stayed fixed on any “classic” tech and have embraced and risked with new technology. Even Scorsese, a devout film fan and film preservation champion, proved with new technologies like 3D. Good for Cronenberg for moving on.

Not in nascent smartphone markets. In Russia and China for example, Android and WP outsell the iPhone. Besides, Apple and its iPhone are aimed towards profitability, not market share, and at profits the iPhone is unbeatable.
