Cheaper SSD prices across the board ($200 for 512GB, $400-$500 for 768GB)
Cheaper 16GB RAM upgrade ($100)
802.11ac as standard
Radeon 8xxx or Geforce 7xx with 1GB GDDR5 (2GB GDDR5 is an option)

Dream upgrades:

3360×2100 display upgrade – I want the resolution to be 1:1 against 1680×1050.
Matte display on the retina 15" – That alone will get me to buy one for my next computer.

Option 2 for sure. I used to do option 1 for a while back in the day (regular phone, netbook, iPod touch 2nd gen) and it just got cumbersome after a while.

You’ll appreciate the extra convenience of a smartphone with a wifi only iPad. If you get at least 3G if not LTE in the Philippines (Does Globe have LTE up and running?), then tethering from your smartphone will be a great option for your iPad (no need to waste money for cellular.

Sure thing! It’s actually a dark grey background – I used to have it completely black but I tried this dark grey and the icons contrast better with it. I’ll upload both the dark grey and solid black ones for you.

Yep Cyberduck! I use it to SSH into my iPhone and media server. The other apps I have on the dock are Transmission (Bittorrent client), Burn (open-source burning app), and CoRD (for remote desktop). The rest are self-explanatory :p

The question mark at the end of my dock is just my mp3 folder on my other computer. Mountain Lion doesn’t remember that it’s a shared network folder, so every time I restart my computer it shows up as a ? until I click on it and let it connect.

Now this is what I’m talking about. Great specs (1920×1080p touchscreen, discrete Nvidia graphics, aluminum chassis) and looks for under $1k? I’m honestly stunned, coming from Sony.

Google is nice, clean and always has reliable results for me. Since my phone is also jailbroken, I can open map links in Google so it’s very nice!
