Whether or not Best Buy’s employees work on commission, I completely agree that commission work is terrible for retail and only works to the gain of selfish or short-sighed managers or employees that care nothing for their business’ reputation or long term relationship with customers. That’s why you never see smart retailers like Apple use commission to manipulate their staff into becoming the bullies you find at Verizon stores and the like. They want to have a lasting, symbiotic, trusting relationship with their customers.
