I live in a family of 5 and we eat in every night and have a small fridge/freezer combo. It works great. We used to have a second freezer until we realized that we have no need.
Do you really need to keep things around forever? Buy what you need, eat it.

Except there are other, better ways of producing electricity. And centralized power production is cleaner than distributed, more inefficient, cars.

But it is a lot better than oil, and until we can get wind/solar/fusion cheap and practical it’s a much better option.
