no employers i’ve met or worked with give a crap about degrees. it’s all about experience and personality.

yeah i figured that, but sometimes it can be a very life and death situation for someone waiting for an organ, and if they have to wait days for the will to be read through it could be too late for the recipient.
i was just trying to make a point but it wasn’t particularly valid in hindsight.
basically, i think encouraging donating is good. end of.

sure, but most organs need to be taken fresh, not after your solicitor has dug out your will…
imagine this: you’re waiting for your heart transplant, do you really want a few day old and dead heart?

photoshop. just create a layer above the image, fill it with a colour / color, and change the fill opacity till it’s how you like it. takes about 10 seconds :)

Wow, condescending much…?
Anyway, I found the article, it was a quote from some dude who won pwn2own or something:
“In past years the contest has been dominated by OS X hacking/security pro Charlie Miller. So it was nice to see a fresh face for a change, though the MacBook was still the first to fall — as usual. Mr. Miller sums up OS X security the best, with his famous remark, ‘Mac OS X is like living in a farmhouse in the country with no locks, and Windows is living in a house with bars on the windows in the bad part of town.’”

The best analogy I ever heard for this was something along the lines of (don’t quote me on this):
OSX is a farmhouse in the middle of no-where, with open doors and windows. Whilst windows is a first floor apartment in the projects with steel bars on the windows and a heavy guarding the front door.

I concur, I am also my friends / family tech support and it’s people who miscellaneously download crap that get viruses. To sum it up in a sentence:
People get viruses, not computers.
