IMO theres too much processing going on. I think you should work on capturing the tones and lines of the various race cars you photograph. Then work into more interesting angles/POV’s.

Forget about camera reviews on general tech sites like The Verge. They always get things wrong, best stick with Ming Thein, Robin Wong or maybe even DPR if you want to get technical.

Different cameras, different use cases. Despite what The Verge has conditioned you to believe, the X100s is NOT about maintaining a “retro” look.

Like seriously, please just read up on the cult following of the original X100 and/or the Ricoh GR Digital series.
