Me too. But from a consistency POV, if Apple would release a larger phone, a 4.5" 720×1280 resolution phone would make the most sense as it comes in at an identical 326 ppi as the other iphones.

the audiojack hole is off-centre on the One most likely because the audiojack would get in the way of the lcd panel otherwise. Not completely sure if that’s the reason but my Xperia P has the same positioning, and it’s clearly because of the narrow forehead bezel.

The iphone has a very wide top/bottom forehead/chin bezel so the jack doesnt get in the way of the LCD panel, making it possible to centre it.

The Verge on a campaign against the horrible design of Samsung?

No matter how you spin it, the S4 is leaps ahead in design language and engineering effort than the curvy, thick bezelled “inspired by nature” crap of the SIII. Yet the SIII received an 8 for design and the S4 somehow a five where it corrected most of the things that were wrong with the SIII to begin with save the plastic enclosure.

How about you switch those two grades Verge, that would be a lot more truthful. Now you are just overcompensating for your own misjudgement one year ago,

ugliest designs post 2000 to me are:
- iphone 3G, this cheap plastic curvey bulky POS is just so NOT in line with apple’s own design aesthetics i find it hard to believe Jony Ive was involved in that.
- the last generation ipod nano, it just looks wrong.
- imac G4. I mean, it looks like a lamp.
