Microsoft has already cut deals with Verizon and Comcast to offer much of the content an extra box would provide. The key question is how much is Microsoft willing to pay to get the deals done.
My hope is they are working on a two pronged attack for the launch of tv in America.
1. One they work with cable/sat companies to use their cable boxes. For the majority of people this would be the approach they push.
2. They work with some one like SiliconDust to create a new product accessory for the Xbox One. Either it comes with hard drive or it will allow you to plug in an External Hard drive.
