Are you serious? The fact that Microsoft prefers to communicate to consumers through leaks and rumors instead of open press releases is NOT a point in their favor. If you believe that existing devices will get Apollo simply because Microsoft hasn’t said anything, you are borderline delusional.

When WP7 came out, they said updates would be frequent and unimpeded by carriers… then a few months later (Nodo era) they said OK, carriers can block ONE update, but not two in a row… then a few months later (Mango era) they said OOPS, carriers can block updates whenever they feel like it!

It’s not a stupid conclusion when Microsoft has repeatedly backpedaled and dissembled about updates since WP7 launched. Why should I trust them now?

SO…… does this mean that when Windows Phone 8 comes out all of us with orphaned, obsoleted WP7.5 phones will be SCREWED because we won’t be able to access the market either?!

Pentile sucks, but a locked bootloader sucks MUCH worse.
