I’ve never been a Microsoft customer but have been consistently impressed with his integrity and broad vision.
In fact, in the earliest stages of his philanthropy, he sought out a technology center that I was helping found and donated dozens of licenses of Windows 2000, Microsoft Office and then-current server platforms.
I never met the man. There was no good reason that we were on his radar. But we were and, as a result, we launched with a modern, well-equipped tech center in the heart of a depressed ghetto.
It looks like they’ve decommissioned their own in-app browser.
This is a smart choice, IMO, as the in-app browser often wasn’t aware of my logged-in state (annoying!) and, unnecessarily, duplicated features already available in Safari.
Smart design moves, tumblr, although that 3rd icon from the right is difficult to understand. Is that lightning bolt supposed to be a badge/notification? If so, it’s too subtle.
