So how did you guys feel about Kal killing Zod? In as much other media as I can remember, and I read tons of comics, Superman never consciously kills people. He would rather let collateral damage happen, resulting in usually multitudes more deaths, than kill the agressor.
In the past, I had always been bothered by this philosophy. For the most part, this is a fair outlook for Batman who can’t feasibly destroy an entire city with his actions. With Superman, I never liked it. Regardless, I was shocked and somewhat upset when Superman snapped Zod’s neck. In a purely utilitarian outlook on superhero mythology, it makes perfect sense. But as Kal’s development as a god and a human being (as much as he can be anyway), it seemed like a step backwards.

the celebrated indie PC, Mac, and Xbox puzzle adventure game
Not on Mac, it isn’t.
Also, I am so excited for this! I know that it will likely be many years, but Fish is really a great designer and I can’t wait to see what kinds of puzzles he throws at us this time.

More specifically, Sony seemed to say that the status quo isn’t changing on their end, which would indicate that downloadable titles are still bound to a player’s PSN account and stuff. However, that doesn’t mean that EA/Ubi/anyone won’t introduce some sort of third-party system to verify ownership.

I’d like to see what apps look like mid-gesture. For example, in the Facebook app, you can swipe to the right to get out of whatever you’re looking at (a status, event, wall, etc,.) and you can stop the animation half-way between the two “panels” of information. I was wondering if a similar thing is done in iOS 7.

Oh, I absolutely agree. It’s very upsetting that this sort of thing just exists. I guess the NSA can’t do their job without monitoring every single person on the Internet.

And if your argument is that this is all legal, already approved by our representatives, then why is the American public so surprised that the government would be involved in such broad domestic surveillance?
Yeah, because that’s perfectly logical. If the American public is surprised, so what? Does that determine if something is legal or illegal? No, not by any stretch of the imagination. Besides the fact that “the American public” is such a nebulous idea that it is likely not a true representation of most American individuals, it does not fall to the government to make sure that each and every American is fully aware of what laws are in effect. Not everyone is a lawyer or even interested in these sort of laws.
Regardless of all of this, in the same way that massive collections of metadata magically makes data, so is it that when lots of tiny laws exist, someone is bound to connect the dots and discover that something unintended is suddenly legal. Yes, this is somewhat Orwellian, but it should be understood that this might actually not be outside the reach of the law. It’s true, lots of people don’t like that this is a thing (myself included), but please try to have a bit of logic when trying to convey doubt about someone’s statements. It goes a long way. Not liking something doesn’t make it illegal.
