2) Check out Sparrow for Mac – I’ve only recently started using it, but find it incredibly useful and prefer it head and shoulders above Mail. There are both free and paid versions, so no concern if you don’t like it at first. As for Calendar, I loathe iCal’s attempted integration with Google Calendar – for that I simply stich with the web client. Speaking of – in case you aren’t using it yet, Chrome is a great way to assist in bridging between Mac OS X and ICS. Next: Chrome for Android. Get it. No question. Google Drive is now out with 5GB space automatically and offers native apps for ICS and OS X.
3) I’m not intimately familiar with Flipboard, but it appears to be an aggregator of web content. I’ve actually found Google Currents to be really nice, particularly for aggregating blog sites (like The Verge). You may or may not like it yourself – just a suggestion.
