I’ve never chimed in on this ZOMG Verge is bias against Microsoft stuff, but this is getting silly. I’d already read the article on Arstechnica before coming here and I couldn’t believe the way this was being reported, especially after seeing that the source link was actually the very same informative and balanced piece I’d read on Ars earlier! I just don’t understand why the Microsoft stories always have this underlying negative tone. Some articles are perfectly balanced, some are positive, but others like this and the earnings call seem to be well out of whack with reality. Criticism is fine, in fact it’s a requirement of responsible journalism, but it’s so frequently not even handed and damages the Verge credibility.
Verge staff, you can check my posting history, I’m not one of the Microsoft zealots, I’m certainly not an astroturfer, just a loyal reader who enjoys most of the Verge’s output, but is getting sick of the way that these stories are being presented. I’m not more interested in “controversial” stories, more I’m annoyed at the tabloid-like way things are being spun. Frankly, I’m disappointed the site.
BTW, The XBox One IS less powerful than the PS4, an analysis of the implications on THAT aspect wouldn’t be needlessly negative, it would be good journalism, not this article, which is frankly FUD at the moment.
