I think it’s actually quite inspirational to see what Mr. Miller has done and how self-aware he is. He goes through his struggles just like anyone else, but we have the good fortune to read about it here.
I respectfully disagree. While elementary – high school may stink in most parts of the country, American universities are some (most) of the top schools in the world. Granted, they are very difficult to get into, but rejections from the tougher schools make the not-as-tough schools that much better as well!
