The timing is obvious, and will prove lucrative – there’s always a “talked-about app” around the time of WWDC.
“Hey, Apple-enthusiast bloggers and developers – you’re about to spend a week taking notes and snapping pictures for later! You need an app for that! Why not use this one?”

If I’m getting this straight, Ebay is trying to fork off a b2b service offering point-of-sale systems? Or… something?
In the future, we won’t ever see anything for ourselves before buying it. We’ll amass ourselves in urban centers, having everything we need vacuum-tubed to us from robot-manned warehouses in the desolate , abandoned suburbs.

They’re certainly shinier, but how are they better?
They have nothing to do with being better. They have everything to do with giving a bunch of tax dollars over to some politician’s brother-in-law’s electronic voting machine company.

Wireless charging is a non-starter until it’s ubiquitous and follows standards. I’m not throwing down cash on a charging mat that works with only one of my 5 gadgets.
And when you end up with devices that need different charging mats, forget it.
