Now its becoming if it isn’t on Android it’s not anything.
lol you should tell that to vine then. You know – the app that is on iOS only and gaining huge traction just like instagram, flipboard, and any other non-nerdy-widget-phone-modifying app out there. The app that is the next big thing. It sure hasn’t worked out for them.
You’re delusional if you think being on Android makes or breaks a company.

What is there to debate? In one year the revenue the Play Store generates is 6 times greater.
Wooho 6 times more. 6 times of 1 is still only 6. Nice try though. You must be only following Android news to think that play store generates more money than the behemoth that is iTunes and App store. But hey, more power to you. Ignorance is a bliss, I guess.
You have it mixed up, Microsoft make more on Android than they do on Windows Phone. That’s pretty pathetic.
That’s true. That’s not what I said though. What I also said is true. Microsoft makes more money from Android than their own store – true (apparently this is bad?). Microsoft also makes more money than Google from Android – true. I don’t know what you’re point was. You argued my fact with another random fact.
Windows Phone isnt doing great, and you have nothing left to say, you tried to shift the goal posts after I pointed out that the Play Store generates 6 times the amount of revenue it did last year. Your point is totally invalid, developers will do just find developing exclusively for Android. I’m sure they will eventually release an iOS app though. But I doubt they will release a Windows Phone app lol.
Again, I don’t even know what you’re arguing about anymore. You’re just attacking blindly with rage now.

What? I don’t even…
I’m not talking about revenue – which is debate in itself. I’m talking about user adoption and retention. Do you know what that means? Here’s something to think about – which startup has gone mainstream thanks to solely being on android? lol i’ll wait.
Windows Phone Store is doing great. All the money Microsoft makes more than Google from Android is being put in. So keep buying your phones fandroids, Microsoft is getting paid!!!

Not really. Let’s see how many Android (where still majority are on older versions) pay $9.99 to stream songs. Unlike other Google’s offerings, this one costs money. I find it hard to believe that android users who have hard time paying for 99 cents app will pay $9.99 bucks to stream songs when they can just pirate it.

Well, Pandora exists, and “iRadio” is currently nowhere to be found, so yeah, Pandora is currently “winning” for the time being.
Pandora is also nowhere to be found on the majority of the planet – just like iRadio – but I know we have iTunes is – so no it hasn’t “won” anything.
Apple bought LaLa 3 years ago. As has been asked already, what is taking them so long to reach licensing deals that were already in place?
Lala’s technology is already being used in iTunes match. Do you guys really follow the news? Buying the company doesn’t automatically carry over the licenses. That’s how the licensing deal works. Otherwise Google or Apple can just simply buy Pandora, Rdio or Spotify and offer it in two days. Not to mention Lala’s licensing is nowhere similar to the one Apple’s trying to get (considering the rumours are true).

Exactly. Where is Zune and xbox music on iOS and Android? The two biggest mobile platform and we need to ask “where is it?”

No it hasn’t. When Pandora can offer their service in more than one country after 5 years, let us know then. Meanwhile Apple will beat them on that front.

Apple will just say that all iPhone users are iRadio users
LOL no, that’s Google who does shit like that. Counting every gmail user for every google service.

Not to mention, Google’s offering is in ONE country while Apple’s will be more than atleast 20 countries. That already beats Google’s offering for us in Canada.

And that my friend is why you won’t hear about this startup/company in 6 months. lol going android first is a horrible idea unless you’re an indie dev.You want to make it big? You need iOS users. Period.

Exactly. Also, not a fan of the UI but if they added tv shows as well, it might be more useful.

Not spamming, just a genuine Verge reader with no users on a site which already does this and wondering why they get a whole story on it and I don’t. :)
Probably coz like you said – you don’t have any users.
Nice looking app, but I don’t think people want to make lists of the films they’ve seen, and I’ve spent 2 years trying to make them do so!
You must have missed the memo about everyone using a smartphone these days. The smartphone is the best place to keep a list of things. Not the web. Also, not to sound rude but just because you couldn’t doesn’t mean these guys can’t. You’re missing something and if you haven’t figured that out in 2 years, it’s time to move on.

This is what happens when you have no idea what innovation means. Samsung thought innovation meant stacking useless features on top of more useless features and then ended up losing 8 GB in the process.

Thank god. He’s so annoying. Like someone said, people like Scoble will kill Google Glass because he makes it wayyy too nerdy or overshares too much. That scares people off and makes them think that glass is for uber nerds.

Because Apple/iOS is not really their enemy. Google loves Apple and iOS users. Like everyone knows, they make more money from iOS users than Android itself.

You basically repeated what they said without proof or cause.
There’s no proof or cause to things like “This is the best …”. It’s called opinions. However, if millions of people share the same opinion then it’s something. Millions of people, along with highly respected people in tech who have seen generations of tech products, have agreed that iPhone 5 (and iphone 4 back in it’s time) is one of the best hardware devices ever made. Go read the reviews and find me one where they mention that the hardware is bad or even one that says that iPhone hardware is “ok”.
P.S – One of the greatest industrial designers of our era helped design it. That helps right?
