Really? So you had no use whatsoever for Netflix before House of Cards came out?

Tumblr works really well, and it takes almost no effort other than actually writing the content, which is exactly what I want from a blogging platform.

Newsreaders were the real predecessor to current message boards. The web was for content, usenet was for discussions — or email, or IRC.

There were lots of crappy intermediate eras, but 1994-era web pages were really pretty nice. Advanced enough that you could embed pictures, but before things got weighed down with whole applications running directly inside the browser. Even early text-only pages were pretty nice, and being able to browse in a command terminal using Lynx was a pretty good experience, IMO.

Windows Phone isn’t hugely popular, but it has a few percent of the market. I have no plans to leave Android, but the WP Facebook integration is actually a good feature — I don’t like the Facebook app and don’t want to have to check it, but an integrated solution where I can quickly flip through things when I’m checking messages would be kind of nice.
