I don’t understand why The Verge keeps converting £ and € instead of just saying the prices in USD, or better, why not say the prices in £, € and USD?
They did the same thing with the Panasonic X-Lens 12-35mm f/2.8, but by converting it from £ or € i certainly looks way more expensive that it would be in the US domestic market.
You already can check the actual USD prices, so I don’t get it why not use the actual price.

It’s a very cool technology but I don’t know if people will really just start using that on street, there are a lot of things that I take my glasses off because it’s not really practical, despite that, isn’t the scree/camera part a bit annoying and on your vision way?
So I suggest that they send one for me so I can test it out, make a review and based on that make a market evaluation.

that’s not something I think it’s necessary, but if you are trying to sell it as the best gaming phone it seems pretty logical to be a top of the line device, doesn’t it? didn’t they try to make some things specially for the Xperia Play? a lot of games don’t require buttons to play, just multi-touch, if you don’t optimize games for a phone with buttons why create it in the first place? so maybe it’s just a total failure but I don’t know if Sony completely gave up the idea.

or both, most likely.
Xperia Play should be a premium-like device, top GPU, etc. instead it was just a normal phone with controller-like buttons and quite thick.

For what Fuji brought with this and the whole system, I don’t think they really care about anything below that, they are not really competing with the E-M5 or NEX-7, this is new market within the mirrorless cameras.
This camera was clearly designed with photographers in mind, the dials are just like the old rangefinder cameras and I think it’s very clever to have a “A” on both dials for Aperture priority and Shutter priority.
The low-light performance and DR is top notch, well above any other APS-C sensor sized camera. Of course, as a new system you couldn’t expect to be a complete system but although it has less lenses than even the NEX system, the lenses are for more desirable and very high quality, basically things that a NEX user dreams of.
The down side is that the video is not that good, but nonetheless it was never Fuji’s objetive or purpose so it’s understandable. The AF it’s the biggest back down not just because it’s very slow compared to the competition but because the focus-by-wire is equally bad, it’s not very responsive and you have to turn a lot to cover the whole focus. It’s said that the new Panasonic X-lens, the 12-35mm f/2.8 has what could be a model for any focus-by-wire lens, very responsive and sensitive, if you turn slowly.
In the end with such a short flange distance and with adapters already available, you can use any legacy lens you want and I think that for the photographer and market which this camera is aimed it won’t be a problem, but rather nostalgic. This camera is not for everyone, it’s not priced for everyone, but if this camera fits your necessities, you will probably fell in love with it.

for the records, I never stated that he has no acting skills, he is still there, right? so no way he has no skills. but for me he always looks too goofy and dumb, even in Butterfly Effect there are times that you can notice this side of him. I think that Butterfly Effect was nice, it had an interesting idea, it was well-develop, it was fun but I wouldn’t say brilliant. but anyone can have their own opinion, right? therefore it would be stupid to get into this, so, don’t.

I’m not saying that’s totally a bad thing, but there are times when Apple over do it, going design by form-only rather than a more complete design approach, which includes function, practicality, ergonomics, etc.
But the thing is that Apple started this ultra-sleek thing, the other guys just took a ride on the bandwagon and they went with it, like so many other times before.
Apple really marketed that SLEEK means BETTER – which is not always true – and the marketing worked and somehow it turned into a industry standard direction to follow – and Apple’s obsession -, which it’s good sometimes, it leads to some advances, new designs, etc. but sometimes it comes at a cost, like battery life, poor ergonomics, etc.
So as you can see, I’m not saying it’s necessarily bad or good, but it’s a fact that it started with Apple, got it? You guys need to relax! hahaha…

Putting the converted price from YEN is a bit misleading, it shouldn’t be on the headline unless it was the actual price in USD, which will probably be somewhere around $1000~$1200. As it seems it will be €1100 and £1000, I think that it’s most likely to be US$1200.
The 35-100 f/2.8 seems to be coming in September/October, probably along with the Panasonic GH3.
So far Previews/Reviews have been pretty favorable about the quality, built and overall handling: <a href="http://translate.google.com/translate?sl=auto&tl=en&js=n&prev=t&hl=en&ie=UTF-8&layout=2&eotf=1&u=http%3A%2F%2Fblank">www.dslrmagazine.com

And Apple will make some demands like:
- Overall shape that isn’t rectangular, or doesn’t have rounded corners.
- Thick frames rather than a thin rim around the front surface.
- Front surface that isn’t entirely flat.
- Profiles that aren’t thin.
- Cluttered appearance.

I’m a NEX user and I use legacy lenses but as I said in a comment before:
Somebody always come up with the fact that you can use an adapter, but is that really the point? I mean why don’t you just sell bodies then? Why sell lenses at all? And there are several situations when AF is very welcomed, when the IS is very welcomed and as NEX uses OIS, it’s impossible to have a IS during videos with an adapter.
The main problem is that you have a 24MP camera and the overall lenses are not up to that resolution. And what I find weird is the reviews comparing the lenses – including the Zeiss – and the Sigma getting out as the best one. Can you say that you are satisfied with the NEX lenses situation? I can’t feel so complacent with that – as you can see.
