Too fragile for that, you need Gopro. You’d save some money too.

Seriously, software like this already exists windows-side. There’s no need. Competition is much more fierce.

You can try: http://www.getpaint.net/
It has a nice interface and super light footprint.
If you want to draw on your PC, you can get either autodesk sketch for around 60$ or the excellent, but unfortunately-named artrage: http://www.artrage.com/
Cheers.

If you change the DRM every month you will have a mountain of legitimate users with copies of the software that don’t work properly.

Right here! /raises hand…
In fact I am still called on to do flash work on a regular basis for large multinational corporations. In the working world, flash and desktop computers are not dead at all (wouldya believe that?). That’s only true inside the Verge’s Reality Distortion Bubble, where the only work anyone ever needs to do is write rants about cell telephones.
Even this site still can’t replace flash as the go-to live streaming tool when they do live podcasts. In fact:

Yup flash seems pretty dead alright.
The verge didn’t always use flash, they only started using it when they realized nothing else works properly and had to backtrack humiliatingly from a terrible HTML5-based player. Yup, here we are, 3 years later …

1. Run Photoshop 1.0 on your computer. I’ll wait.
That’s my main computer right there, running photoshop 3.0. If you have a copy of photoshop 1.0 you can throw my way, I’ll gladly run it for you. You can go ahead and stop waiting now.

However, really hilarious that all the people that kept saying “Flash is dead! Flash is dead!” now HAVE to pay for it… =) As a one-time flash dev, that warms my cockles.

You know, you CAN use CS2 for almost ANYTHING you need. Feng Zhu, one of the biggest names in concept art uses that.

Also, the palettes are incredibly annoying. (super wide tools palette with that ugly docking area at the bottom? Really?)

You’d also be wrong. Photoshop is used by people who use both of the programs you mentioned. Without photoshop, how would you have anything to insert / place into those?
