They need to hurry the fuck up with an update.

Its mostly to do with the tegra chip set being difficult to optimize for. The same thing happened with the HTC one x (international) being stupidly slow next to the HTC one s until 6 months later when they optimized for it. And Google doesn’t really optimize for a chip set anyways so it just left too die. Its one of the things that annoys me to no end with Google.

My friends 4s isn’t doing so well too. Just about gets half a day, thing is as hot as a toaster too even with everything closed. But its a beta and you expect these things. He only has it since his an iOS developer and as such needs to update apps, test out all the new features, and get an idea of the new design language.

No need for a new laptop but if haswell has epic battery life I will sell my rMBP and get a new 15". Maybe upgrade the GPU on my laptop.

Its not about jerky ui there is this crazy low level audio latency that’s not in iOS which I have heard has improved a lot since 2.3 but till is still a bit high. I think this was the reason we didn’t have gapless playback to jellybean.

IPhone for me needs to be a bit wider. After using bigger phones for such a long time I find it really helps and know its difficult to even type on an iPhone screen.

Also how big they go is a good question, nexus 4 is about the limit for me when it comes to one handed operation but will be too big for most. I feel 4.3 would be great size. But not just a taller phone it also needs to be wider.

Get a has well 15" and another brand of 27" monitor that runs at 1440p if it makes things cheap enough to afford. Display want look as good hardware wise but it is monitor after all.

If not just upgrade the ram/ add a ssd to your correct mbp and get the display.

IPad mini is close too 14hours. I hope they so focus on battery life apart from moto no one really cares and it just sucks. Someone needs to move the goalpost. I would srsly move from my nexus 4 for the promise of 12hours battery life.

Cause it takes so much time/brain power to tell the difference between say 5/6 icons in a row on a 10" display. Having just 4 looks too stupid I can’t even put it into words.

Please explain how turn by turn navigation needs some special hardware?

You can only defend them so far and I owned a iPhone 4 with Siri and never had issues with background noise, it took a little longer to figure out things but it worked just fine. Siri was an app before apple took it and that worked without any special hardware.

We have a lot of different news sites e.g tech, fashion and so on. The usages is even across platforms so ad revenue is just the same but we have a lot of links to shops e.g. a fashion guide on a certain look then there is a button to buy all the products.

We talk with customers and its just on android there is a huge selection of great apps. Things like angry birds have a free ad supported version. You don’t get this on iOS and thus they are used to paying. Things have improved I think it used to be 90% iOS last year so things are improving.

Also many users have been buying through iTunes for a very long time too so there is that trust built up.

Developing in the platforms is not too much if a deal. I made a android game in 2010/2011 for my final year project and boy let me you it, it was painful to say the least but its improving. I do like iOS more as I enjoy c, and they have helped it with things like arc and blocks are really nice.

I would recommend supporting both platforms but doing it iOS first. For a few reason; once we released the android versions of our apps we saw a peak in iOS downloads as many of our android web site users now had an app and recommended it too their friends. You never know how the landscape will be next year and android apps could easily be where the money is at so its best to be prepared. Finally, if your using some sort of api or back end service then it won’t cost much more and you help you with reach and buzz.

I can’t do that in public just feel stupid. Googles is always better as it does it word by word (not sure if Siri does this) but its amazing to watch each word appear perfectly every time.

Facebook used to he really laggy for me on s2 but is extremely smooth on the nexus 4. Maybe Facebook has done something or its the nexus 4 but its a lot better.

If you are going to go nexus 4 then you can always get an iPad for the apps your missing out on. Its what I do and I find it amazing.

We have apps on android and iOS. More android users 30:70 in favour of android but 70% of IAP are made on ios. The users use it about the same from what we can gather but iOS users are just used to spending more.

We released a android app recently and Google has really improved it authentication for apps. Unless you go in and find the code and hack it we couldn’t find a way to go pass the check. Its much better then before and means it takes a lot more effort then before.

It is worse on android but at least they are addressing the problem.

Most of our apps currently have 30:70 split for iOS and android respectively (not counting exclusive apps) and the IAP is the opposite so its very clear that iOS is just better for paid things.

The board hates that apple takes %30 and would do anything to not support iOS but they have no choice, so even though its clearer better not everyone likes it. I’m sure if android users spent more we would stop making iOS apps.

Its 14"gamging machine that games really well, what did u expect ffs, it has a great intel chip and if you knew anything the gains from getting a high clocked chip are very small. It has 16gb ram, and for gaming machine you need more storage then speed and 768GB SDD is like an extra grand.
