Samsung GSIII. Basically same phone as last year, with a few cute software tricks. Pretty sure Apple has the patent on that.

The processor isnt even in the top two when it comes to power drain. Radio by far is the worst offender, followed by screen. I wouldnt expect to see much of a gain or degradation either way compared to the gnex.

For me, the beauty of photography is taking a subject, and showing it in a way others might not think to be the norm. I see the subject, and an idea of the finished product in my head. Its a photo that I created. Instagram, and others like it cheapen this process. You take a picture of whatever, and afterwards apply whatever filter you think looks good. There is no creative process in this. The app is doing everything.
To me apps like this are not capturing a subject, but rather a feeling. This is why people gravitate towards it. Its instant nostalgia, and true nostalgia is something this generation lacks. We are always looking towards the future, without a care for things in the past. Growing up, I used to love going through all the family photos. Part of the fun was seeing how we had aged. It was also fun to see how the photos had aged.
Great photography can also capture a feeling, but I fear that the next generation will not bother learning this wonderful medium.
