I agree with Adam. I’m frigging pissed that the ignorant whiners have caused Microsoft to eliminate a bunch of cool features.

Repeat after me, the Xbox One had all kinds of cool features that were made possible by this DRM and now this is all gone. This backlash was a massive overreaction by a public that is filled with idiots.
The cool features are dead.

Well said. This is a day of mourning for those of us that like a thing called progress.

Dammit is right. They had some really well thought out and innovative features that were unfortunately not explained to the public very well.
Now these are gone.

I’m tempted as well. The Xbox One was a next generation console. Now we have two consoles that are just rehashes of the current generation.
CONSUMERS ARE MORONS.

I’m frigging pissed they are doing this. I’m not defending anything. I think consumers who thought these policies were bad are idiots and I think Microsoft is foolish for giving in to them.

Yes, like the fact that this was a regressive move that loses a lot of the appeal that the Xbox One had for me.
BUT THE SQUEAKY WHEEL GET’S THE MOTHER #$(*&$#ING GREASE!

Probably not. The system sucks more now because consumers are idiots.

We lost a lot of great features because people fear change. Microsoft could have done a better job, but people will always prefer the status quo over the future.
Xbox one DRM policies would have enabled them to do all kinds of cool stuff, THE LEAST OF WHICH WAS NOT NEEDING THE STUPID DISK IN THE SYSTEM.
I HATE YOU BEFUDDLED MASSES AND YOUR IGNORANCE!!!!!
THIS IS WHY WE CAN’T HAVE NICE THINGS.

No!!!!!!!!
This news sucks and I wish Microsoft had stuck to their guns. The new DRM allowed them to do all kinds of cool things that benefited end users. Sorry they did a bad job of explaining this to you, and I’m sad the angry, moronic masses didn’t take the time out to figure out what these “restrictions” actually enabled them to do.

Microsoft previously revealed it would support installing games to HDD from disc, without a requirement for the disc, but the changes mean that the disc will now required to be in the tray for the game to work.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I HATE YOU ALL FOR TAKING THIS FEATURE AWAY FROM ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What sucks is not the lack of buttons, but the extremely poor quality touch screen that Ford uses. They claim it sucks so much because they need it to work in all conditions, but Telsa has proven them wrong.
Their extremely underpowered MFT system (running on a Cortex A8 from five years ago) is terribly slow and frustrating to use. They need to update that system with a chip that is ten times as powerful and people might find they don’t miss the buttons as much. Whether from the slow system or the screen itself (or both), it requires too much pressure and too much time to register a button press.
I drive a Ford Explorer with MFT and I like the system design, but the quality of the components is sorely lacking.
