So we should stop them from trying, then. Because somebody has concerns. Somebody that isn’t interested in doing this, the way other people are.
I just see it this way: when we first decided to go to the moon, we went to the moon. (Since then we’ve sort of taken it down a notch and we don’t send manned missions beyond orbit.) The circumstances of this Mars thing are longer term, more permanent, but why is that a basis for anyone thinking that the interested parties shouldn’t do it?
