If I could get a discount for paying for my lunch with foursquare, I would (sometimes, currently, you get $5 off for checking in and paying with Amex). Square needs to partner with a social check-in company. With names like these the choice is obvious.

People were out jogging, walking their dogs, families with kids were walking around Boston. I was inside, listening to music and relaxing, respecting the request made by my city and helping in the way that I could to catch the suspect.

Nathan, we were not held hostage in our homes, if we wanted to leave we could. Language matters. We were all cooperating in assisting our officers and officials to apprehend this suspect. We were watching teams of highly trained professionals whose main job is to protect civilians carry out that duty. While we were off the streets, we remained active connecting with one another and friends around the world to maintain and strengthen our community.

Boston was not “consumed by fear”. We are all cooperating in assisting our officers and officials to apprehend this suspect.

Resilient communities take their civic festivals very, very seriously. This attack affected all of us precisely because it was the Marathon. This crime was meant to kill our community as a community. So, we all wanted to help resolve it. That’s why we’re all off the streets: this is us helping.
