I am about to buy a new phone. Given my choices and my budget, I’ve really boiled it down to the Nexus 4 or the GS3. I want to buy the Nexus 4 (given that it is more future-proof) but I have been reading these battery issues with the N4 everywhere. My friend has a Nexus 4 but he gets 6-7 hours of screen on time easily. I don’t really know what the fault is here. Should I just go with the GS3? Is the battery life really that bad?

Sorry to nitpick.. but I am going to do it anyway.
The Pixel is 239 PPI, the 13 inch rMBP is 227 PPI. You’ve got it the other way around.

Maybe a $100 price drop on the 9.7 inch iPad for all SKUs, discontinuing the 16 GB model, flattened out iOS 7 with a few new features, maybe an option for an Nvidia card in the 13" rMBP.
Not expecting a huge features release for OS 10.9.
128 GB iPhone 5 seems unlikely, although I believe that the base model for the next iPhone might be 32 GB.

This. Android already is so far ahead of other smartphone OSes that they really can get away with not launching new versions for some time and try to get all OEMs on 4.2. We can see how iOS and WP can improve because we have the benchmark of Android. It would be better if Google waited for a few months instead of launching another .1 update with very minor changes and pissing all people off who don’t own a Nexus.

I wonder how much storage will the nexus s4 have. Will it not even have support for the sensors on the phone for air view, smart stay, etc?

I meant ‘silence’ in terms of new features released for the next version of Android. Both Play Games and Babel are going to be available on older versions. We are going to see a lot of new and exciting stuff at I/O, it’s just not going to be Android related (for the end consumer).

Yeah but in terms of profitability, it has failed. I know that they never were trying to make money off of it, but now that they own a hardware company, they could continue to set standards while making money.

The price would definitely be important but what is more interesting is that all BB10 phones so far have the same set of specifications (Snapdragon S4, 2GB RAM) which, in theory means it is easier to develop apps for this platform. WP essentially does the same but Blackberry has an edge over them as they make both hardware and software in their phones. Now just waiting for a cheaper, full touchscreen BB10 phone.

What are you talking about? This is not any sort of wild speculation. We are hearing stories about Motorola hardware straight out of the mouth of Google employees. All these pieces of information were lying around and any person with the least analytic abilities would have put them together. Read the entire post before assuming what I meant to say.
Rumors often get blown out of proportion. We can’t really help it. It is the Human nature. Nevertheless I think I kept it pretty tidy in this post.

Google said it would run Motorola as a separate company
Big companies always make statements like these. If they had said anything otherwise, it would have pissed of other OEMs (They made this statement before Samsung became the face of Android).
you are speculating that google is terminating its Nexus program in preparation of stock devices from Motorola
It doesn’t make sense to carry on with the (failed) Nexus program if they are going to be launching their flagship Moto phones along with new versions of Android.

That would be great if OEMs promote these apps and services that Google has built. No one outside the tech sphere even knows about the Nexus program and hence they might start promoting these stock devices once they are built in-house and they have full control over it. That is what I was saying that they might shut down the Nexus program entirely as it has pretty much failed.
