XBMC on my jailbroken aTV2 puts all of those things to shame. Better yet if you have an aTV3 you don’t even need xbmc since you can just airplay movie box from iphone, ipad and the experience is even better on some cases. Xbmc gives you more content though.

I doubt the devs will be that stupid, not after seeing the kind of beating Microsoft is getting in the media. We may see them applying that tactic in a year or two after the console release but now now. It would suicide for any devs to adopt such policy right now.

The ps3 is tie with the 360 despite launching a year late and $100 more. Sony was able to make up ground because outside of N. America 360 don’t sell as well. If Microsoft can’t whip Sony in N. America then they can forget about winning the next generation console. I think Sony knows that as well that’s why they are pushing. I don’t see how the Xbox One can do well outside of N. America.

I guess you did not read the whole thing. When you have a business you consider every options you have. To me that’s all they were doing here, no law was broken since they never made such an agreement. You just proved my point, those emails are embarrassing but no law was broken.

So far I have not read anything that proves apple broke the law. No wonder they did not want to settle! There have been some embarrassing emails and comments but not much else to proved apple broke any law.

I have no problem with the number of articles on any subjects/companies. I do have a problem with the number of useless so called “articles” a site like this post just to meet a quota, or to get more clicks. Perfect example, on Monday this site posted an “article” about how apple use the “no’s” in their wwdc intro video. Really! did we really need a paragraph “article” for that? It was such a waist of time. I blamed myself for clicking on it and lost 2 minutes of my time. I use apple because apple is the best looking girl at this party and therefore gets the most attention from both side of pros/cons. The verge is not the only offender it’s all over the web.

The Verge is on fire with apple articles. Apple is always good business for everyone in the media. You know any headlines with apple in it will bring ton of clicks from both sides. Well played… Verge… well played… I wonder if someone can do a study and see how much apple help those businesses? I wonder what effect it would have on their bottom line if any of those papers, blogs, websites goes a month without even mentioning apple anywhere?

This is what most geeks on these forums don’t get, services like pandora and spotify will not be around for the long haul since their business model is not sustainable. The platform holders will be the ones left standing once all the smokes clear.

What most geeks don’t get only a fraction of people will pay for a subscription model. Spotify, as much as the geeks on this site scream how good it is only has 6 million paying members. Think about that 6 million, iTunes radio will blow that number within 15 min of ios 7 release. It has the potential to over 500 million users within a few months of its release. I think I fall into the category of the average users in a sense that I don’t want another paying subscription. My music listening habits are too erratic to justify it, I still want to own the tracks that I like. Sometimes I go weeks and months without buying a track and other times its the apposite.
