1. So you’ll constantly be stopping to charge your phone at 30 minutes intervals. It’s true you don’t have to stop but you’re phone will be tethered to the battery pack you’ll have a nunchuck type device.
2. Nobody plans to keep it at zero capacity, but it does happen. There are days (especially on the weekend) when I’m no where near an outlet. The battery will hit zero with heavy use.
3. You got me there, but how often do you change your phone in a world of two year contracts?
4. You’re a nice guy to be sharing, but the scenario would only work if your peers always have their usb cable on them.
To each his own I guess, but you can never convince me to buy a usb battery pack. I’d rather carry three extra fully charged batteries than one of those.

I would love to see Verizon do this with their constant delays.

So instead of carrying one of these:

You’d rather carry something like this around:

Also, I think it takes more than an hour to get your phone’s battery fully charged. Versus the minutes it takes to shut your phone down, replace dead battery with a full battery, and reboot.

A portable charger is only a better solution if you’re near an outlet (even then it takes a while to charge your battery) . At that point your cellphone becomes a corded house/car phone. It’s also a lot easier to carry around a spare battery than a charger.

It was meant as a joke. I’m aware he was talking about the battery life and I took it completely out of context.
A more serious comment would have been: Are you seriously complaining about 15 hours of battery life…..on a quad core portable device?

a smartphone should be awake when you’re awake.
I think they implemented that feature with Smart Stay.

Vlad, can you make a video using lines from Apple’s commercials with S Voice? I don’t think any of us have one to play around with.

I really hope this doesn’t lead to a separate billing item on my bill. For example, carriers can sell you a package for 100 minutes of video chatting for x amount. Similar to how we’re being extremely overcharged for texting.

They used the phone’s headphone jack to accept an electric current from the bell button, which took a bit of soldering and a trip to RadioShack.
Sounds like some hacking was involved.
