Do you consider the Xbox an enclosure?
If you were going to buy one of these products made by LaCie (I’ll call it a hard drive to make it easy) what would you search for: “external hard drive” or “hard drive enclosure with a hard drive inside”?

And those enclosures have hard drives in them thus they make external hard drives.

OR… Make it a user preference (Gasp!) like they do on the Mac. I wish Apple would allow a little more of that kind of stuff to be customized. Just burry it deep inside Settings somewhere where only the people that really want to change it will find it.

I’ve heard more developers saying this lately. Is it a newer thing or has it always been there?

Do you ever see people concentrating really hard on doing something and they end up kinda biting their lip and sticking out their tongue a little bit? Sometimes I wonder if that’s what I look like trying to reach the upper left hand corner of my screen using it one handed.

Yes, LTE devices use a SIM card. Sometime in the distant future it’s possible that you could buy one phone to work with all 2/3/4 (depending how many are around by then) major US carriers and networks across the whole world. At that point the problem is the same issue you’re starting to see already on the new iPad with devices needing to support a lot of different frequencies.

While I get what you’re saying about options being nice, optical drives are large. When you’re looking at the inside of the current generation MacBook Pro one of the largest parts is the optical drive.
May I suggest some thing like this to go with your new MacBook Pro:

What do you use the drive for on a regular basis? As I said above I have so little use for it personally that I’m curious what you use it for.

I actually removed the DVD drive from my MacBook Pro a couple years ago and put in a second hard drive. I only ever use any sort of DVD or Blu-Ray drive when the computer is sitting on my desk at home. There’s only been one or two times I needed that drive in the last two years that I didn’t have it and even then I made it work without. I would much rather they make it thinner and nix the drive.

I like what Square is doing. I see it at more and more small businesses and I love that I can just take out my phone, open the app and say “Charge it to Trevor” and walk away.

It’s really not time to “move on” considering they don’t have an LTE network up and running yet but they do have a WiMAX network. If I were shopping for a hotspot today you better believe I would look at this one.

The idea is fantastic but it just looks to big and ugly. I’ll still have to carry some things in my pocket as it mentions in the article.
I wonder what they’re doing to prevent you from using this to copy other peoples cards. If you find a wallet there’s no need to keep it, just make a copy of all the cards.

So do you think Apple is going to use different SIM cards in the European version of the iPhone and iPad? Not likely.

I’m fine with them keeping the price high. It’s creating opportunity for competition to come in at a lower price point. I own Creative Suite Web Premium and I plan to upgrade to CS6 sometime this summer. The big thing though is I plan on upgrading to a lower end package (Design Standard) than I bought last time. I don’t need as many of the applications as I did before. I could almost get away with just buying Illustrator and ditch Photoshop in favor of Pixelmator but there really is no replacement for Illustrator. I sure as hell don’t need Flash or Dreamweaver any more.
I’m looking forward to seeing where Pixelmator goes over the next few years and I’m hopeful that they’ll build Vectormator.
