This is exactly what is happening. I live and work in Silicon Valley and it’s not the straight out of school people who are having problems finding work at pay commensurate with experience, it’s the guys that have 5-10 years in the work force that are still getting offers in the 90k-110k range (compare that to the kids just out of school making 80k). While this may seem like a ton of money, the Bay Area is one of the most expensive places to live, and the hitting the ceiling that fast is what’s fueling a lot of this demand by companies down here for more visas.
