I didn’t see a lot of people complaining about it. It seems it’s more jovial than anything.

Yeah, I’d say from 40-100 it doesn’t get any louder. Really odd, makes that range quite worthless. The biggest volume change sounds like 0-16 or so.

I figured out that display res and design were what you were referring to, but yeah, there wasn’t a lot of mention about the pixel in the article, so the sub headline seemed misplaced. Especially, when I haven’t seen any indication that the Pixel is making any sort of dent in the PC market, and your original review of the Pixel was anything but high-end for the price tag.

Adoption rates don’t mean crap. Technology has changed. A couple of points to make.
A) PC sales have slowed because of tablets and smartphones. People don’t need the power and functionality of their family desktop anymore.
B) Power and efficiency hasn’t progressed as much as it used to in the last 4-5 years for the average consumer. Their 3-5 year old laptop or desktop still gets the job done.
C) The average consumer doesn’t update their OS, especially on Windows when they always cost hundreds of dollars. The only way people are getting Win8 is by buying new PCs, and that isn’t happening because of all the above.
Thanks!

A $249 Surface RT? Tell me, can you find one other respectable tablet that’s over 10" that you can get for $249…? People this isn’t a 7" device. A $249 price point may be respectable for a 7" device. Are you blind… or just ignorant?

On top of that, you couldn’t find a singe 10"+ tablet for $250, they are all in that $400-500 range. I don’t know why people are comparing a 10.6" tablet to a 7" tablet. That doesn’t make any sense. We should probably compare apples to apples here.

The IDC statement that Windows 8 is slowing PC Sales is a) ridiculous and b) completely speculative. The things that is slowing PC sales are phones and tablets. Not everyone needs a PC at home to go online and do homework, you can do it on your phone or tablet.
That’s why Win8 had to move towards mobile UI. They weren’t changing Windows just to change.

I’m sticking with Sprint for now because the prices are so much better, at least on a family plan than anything else. And T-Mobile in my area is probably the worst network around. Sprint seriously needs to get some better options for phones. A good start getting the HTC One, and Galaxy line is good, but I would like to see those WP8s come out sooner rather than later. iPhone is good for long term viability but it’s not my cup of tea.

That’s a good idea. I’m sitting on Sprint, and have had upgrade eligibility for a few months, but Sprint has had some weak offerings, and I’m waiting to see their options for WP8. GS4, HTC One, and we’ll see for WP8, but Sprint’s offerings have been crap for a while now. But my prices are so much better than VZW and ATT.

Question folks… don’t you end up paying a buttload extra with an unlocked phone because you’re paying threw the nose on your monthly bill to cover the subsidized cost of most phones, when you’re paying full price up front.
Sounds nice, but you end up paying a ton more, correct?
