I like his view that customer is Facebook’s product, Facebook is trying to sell customer’s info and data to advertisers.
They should really think about how to generate revenue without selling users’ data.

And what do you mean by “nonsense” phablet? Your word is itself nonsense: see how many Galaxy Note has been sold?

BTW, just look at the ICS browser screenshot above, you can simply swipe your thumb and open/close any tabs. Isn’t this immensely faster than clicking tabs on top of the screen using another hand?

Hi
What is being suggested here is just a way to implement the idea, and I am aware that this particular method may not the best one.
My point is to highlight the fact that the mobile OS CAN be designed (without sacrificing intuitiveness of the usage) in a more flexible way, allowing the user to use one or two hands to operate the screen.

Sometimes, it is difficult for the user to reach the on-screen objects directly (e.g. when one hand is holding the device, and another hand is busy).

Apple fans should stop treating everything Jobs or Apple said as truth.
It’s about time that Apple bows to the market reality that people like large screens.

The proxy apparatus, although deeply built into the OS, should also be optional. So, for most of the time, it can he handled the standard way – direct manipulation.
But for those times where your other hand is really busy, the proxy can be easily called up and used to operate the screen.

Exactly! This is what I meant :)
I didn’t know that this is already a feature in ICS? It works just inside the browser or is it applicable system-wide?
I am looking for something like this, but is holistically built from the OS itself.

BTW, we don’t have bezels as huge as that around the screen….

Thanks for the video!
It has been two years since it was announced on CES 2009, but no more news after that :)
As I see it, the key problem with that device is its design structure:
They are using a fold-open design, so when it is closed, they need a third screen outside for phone calls and things like that.
Since we are not using fold-open design, we don’t need 3 screens. In the phone mode, one screen is always facing outside for phone usage.

Not spamming, was trying to get opinions from as many places as possible..since we are still at initial stage, it’s difficult to get enough user feedbacks.
If the device is possible, we will make sure that the apps and interfaces are properly scaled on both the phone and tablet modes :)

Thanks for reply :)
Not by folding, problem with fold-open screens like Sony tablet P is an annoying bezel separating the screens.
We are using a simple mechanism that doesn’t leave any bezel that blocks the screens.

No, but this is their one and only FLAGSHIP phone series which comes only once a year, and there is NO revolution in ANY respect of it.
