No worries… the 920 is supposed to be getting at least 18 months of updates.

Hmm… The 920 is excellent and I had an awesome experience going from a 1st Gen Device to a Windows Phone 8 device.
Here is what you are waiting for:
6" Nokia Phablet… This will be coming out for the Holidays.
Nokia EOS… This is the Lumia with a 41MP PureView Camera coming to AT&T at the very end of the summer (September?)
Sooo… basically, if you feel like you are missing something or you need a new device, the 920 kicks ass.
If you feel like either of those other two devices are worth waiting for, go for it but it’s going to be 6 months before they release and there is no guarantee the Nokia Phablet is coming to AT&T.

Would it be safe to assume that GDR2 will be available around the same time as the Lumia 925 launches?

I like that they launched it. The 920 is too big for many people, maybe not you or I but it’s noticeable (especially if you are coming from another smartphone).
The nice thing about keeping the other specs the same is that they can continue to refine the software without overwhelming their developers. I like this strategy. It’s a 12 month lifecycle with a refresh at 6 months after getting customer feedback.

They 925 should have the xenon flash…
Why are there always compromises?!

Yep… I agree. They look nice but don’t work. Every time I hand someone my phone to show them a picture, they end up on Bing or back at the home screen because of those stupid buttons.

Your results are flawed in this test. You forgot a space between “The” and “Verge” in the Bing’s results. Try adding the space and check out how much better Bing’s results are.

Coupon Printer and IE plugins. All the crap that us tech users hate are exactly what a typical user needs. I hate to say it but this is what real people want… (or get frustrated with when they find out later)
