I haven’t forgotten HTC, but it’s the least offensively bad of the big three I think.

That being said, HTC is the least consistent of the lot: build quality often differs wildly between models released in the same time period and Sense has been hit/miss until the arrival of Android 4.0, dating back to WM6.

Have to agree with you. Every bit of software I’ve seen coming out of Samsung and LG has been really terrible from a UX and performance standpoint.

Perhaps their design patterns are acceptable in Asia (though I seriously doubt it), but they are markedly subpar here.

Just to name a few cases, since I know I’ll be jumped on: TouchWiz has always been slow laggy and buggy, from BREW to WM6.5 to Android. LG has never made a stable interface. I’ve owned several of their phones, ranging from the Chocolate 1 to the VX8700 to the Optimus T. All sh-t, pardon my french.

Yeah but the Apollo phones will cost more than the diff in cash unsubsidized when they come out in October. It makes more financial sense to save the upgrade.

Considering the fact that VZW never released a Pre 3 and there are no CDMA carriers in the UK to buy one from, I find this hard to believe.

This is pretty moronic on multiple levels. 1) The stock market is variable, so he should sell the stock and go elsewhere if he isn’t pleased with it. And, 2) suing the company you own stock in will only lower the price further if it is highly publicized, like this is. Stupid, stupid, stupid.

Many out there that are worthwhile, IMHO.

The Lumia series are the first good hardware to come forward since Gen 1… and Nokia can’t hold up the whole boat itself.

This seems like a case of “ordered by AT&T 10 months in advance.”

It looks underwhelming because Samsung didn’t want to dedicate significant resources to it knowing the bulk of R&D would be going toward WP8 later this year.

So if Google is found to be infringing and Android is saddled with a ton more licensing fees from Oracle, does that mean it will be a far less worthwhile OS to use when building new phones? Bye bye profit margin?
