Some posters here really can’t see past their own noses. You argue over such ridiculous points and at the same time look down your noses at blogs like Engadget. It’s quite clear to see that Thunderbolt is technically superior to USB 3 but is also a lot more expensive, which is probably the main reason its not selling like hotcakes. The most superior thing doesnt always win. Price is also a huge factor. Consider how many Porche’s you see on the road and then consider how many Ford cars you see on the road. Why do you think there might be more Ford’s on the road?
Pushing Thunderbolt is more like “Hey everyone, you’ve already got 60 MB/s internet but I’ve got 1GB/s for you here so let me jam it down your throat even though you’re perfectly happy with and you really don’t see the point in paying so much more for it.”
