The lack of apps for WP is, apparently, a real issue. But, that said, only if you are a kid. To convince you; take a look at an adult and his/her apps on the phone. Look behind the apps “my kid installed these”, and you are left with a half dozen that you find in every store.
Better. Having the Nokia maps available off-line is a huge plus, for instance when abroad (that is in another country) or where you do not have internet connection (out there in the forest).
