Check the review on the MacBook Air. It got 13+ hours of web browsing time. That’s extremely impressive considering that’s what most people do.

Considering how it makes the 1.9 GHz Quad Core Snapdragon 600 and Samsung’s own Octa Core Exynos 5 lag, I seriously don’t know why you would want Touchwiz. I don’t see how anyone would be a fan of the “Samsung Experience”.
Even if it didn’t lag, Touchwiz is just plain ugly. They’re pretty much using Android Gingerbread design in their skins with a different color scheme. Honestly, I would pay extra for a phone without Touchwiz.

There’s a difference. Unlike those other services, you can log in any time you want. Days later, Months, years later. The Xbox One requires a check in every 24 hours to play offline. So let’s say, your ISP sucks, and you want to play games. Good luck if they aren’t available to fix your internet. Or let’s say, you just moved to a new house, and you haven’t set up an internet connection. How about college kids who don’t want to pay for internet. Or how about men in the military who don’t have a solid internet connection? Not many people are as privileged as you.

So you’re judging how well Apple did by the amount of talk from Android users? That’s a horrible misrepresentation. Most of them are mocking how cartoony iOS 7 looks. And that’s because it is. The home screens icons and the actual apps themselves look as if they were designed by two entirely different people with two different goals. The home screen is just bright with colors. Almost gaudy. While the apps are minimal, with just the right amount of color thrown in to highlight the important information. This makes iOS seem rather incoherent as a whole.

Haters can hate is just something people say why they don’t have any more excuses. I commend Apple for what they are doing, but It just seems to me like they were under pressure to create something radically new. The Home screen icons and any standard iOS 7 app seemed to be designed by two different people with two totally different idea. The settings app is extremely minimal. Beautifully designed. The transparency is a genius design theme. But then the icons blow up with neon colors in wierd opposing gradients, with shocking color that totally opposes the flat design that the apps were trying to achieve. That’s why it’s bad. Oh yeah, and what happened to no gloss for the Game Center icon

I’m glad I’m not the only one to thing this. People who are super loving the look of iOS 7 are the same ones who hated Samsung’s Touchwiz for looking cartoony. This is the epitome of cartoon. Why the hell are there near neon colors and gradients used everywhere?

If you didn’t want Google Now on your lock screen, you shouldn’t have put it on your lock screen. Otherwise, it only gives you what you searched for. If you didn’t search them up, then someone who used Google when you were logged in on that computer searched that for you. Google doesn’t sell anything to you. Ever. It only gives you what you seemed to be interested in.

I think to output to PDF, you have to print to XPS printer or something and it will save to the desktop as a PDF or something like that.

I wouldn’t go that far. Really. It’s portable for sure, but I prefer the size of the iPad (9.7) It’s larger, making typing better on a surface, and web browsing is much more better on a larger display. That’s still opinion though.

I’m so excited. I’ve never been this excited for WWDC!! I can’t wait to see what happens. If those banners are an indication of what OS X and iOS will be, I am super excited. It’s about time that Apple stepped up their UI design. I hate the fat fonts they used for previous iOS’

You’re only using the font on a smal chunk of text. If you used it in a paragraph, it would be much more obvious as we would have more letters to sample from. Especially Roboto. It’s a truly unique font.

You think so? I think it’s great that in-cell touch and well calibrated displays are important. It’s part of what makes a display good. The Nexus 4 for example, has a stunning, high quality display, but the calibration is off. It makes things look a bit washed out. Also, with a smaller gap between the display and the glass, we get a display that is brighter and more vibrant. Because the panels in these phones are of very high quality. It’s just the calibration and the quality of the glass that keeps them back.

You can’t use code written on iOS and put it into Android without some major translation. HTC uses a combination of light software, code optimization, and Project Butter. Apple does a weird thing where they pause processes to put full power behind the main process. That’s why a web page in Safari never fully loads when your finger is dragging around on the screen, even if your finger is there for a whole 2 minutes.

It’s not like the iPhone had great battery life to begin with, but then again, widgets are optional. You can always get rid of them if you want.

It shouldn’t slow down your device. However my MacBook, also Late 2009, is becoming a bit slower. Not slow when running or loading apps (no visible lag) , but it takes forever to start up. Maybe something in your laptop is starting to fail. Like the hard drive or RAM. If you upgraded to Mountain Lion recently it also might be the source of slowness. All versions of Mac OS have gotten increasingly RAM intensive. Snow Leopard ran fine on the 2 GB of ram the laptop came with. But all OS versions after it use too much RAM. I upgraded my MacBook to 8GB’s and it works fine. I hope you find out what’s wrong with yours :/

Unless you see yourself using Pages on an iPad Mini (which you shouldn’t because the keyboard is rather cramped), than get a Yoga 13. The only thing the Mac has over it is tight iCloud integration. But even then, you have to get Pages for Mac. Assuming you had a windows device before with Microsoft Word, it would be much better to stick with Windows. It’s much much more cheaper (especially on Amazon) and has more programs due to it being Windows. It has a really solid keyboard, being a Lenovo device, and a touchscreen. It is a nice future proof investment.

I think iPod Touch 4 will get iOS 7, But a really really crippled version of it. Because technically since they kept the 4th Gen iPod touch for what would be two whole generation of devices, it would look bad on them if they didn’t upgrade their last generation devices. But OS support would stop at 7.0.3 or something like that.

That’s the problem. We shouldn’t need to be throwing the best of the best hardware to make things work right. The software has to be well optimized too. Tegra 3 may suck, but it doesn’t suck that bad. The Galaxy Nexus runs Android just fine.
