So much for the “Babel”. That chart with all the boxes filled in, is missing the ability to message people with old phones, or people who just don’t want to use Google. This app is not backwards compatible with today’s/yesterday’s messaging service, and will struggle without supporting it.
Think of it kind of like mining prime numbers, but with the caveat that there’s a limited number. Each time it gets harder and harder to find the next one. They have mined about half of all possible bitcoins. But once they get to the end, it’s done. There’s a total of 21 million bitcoins, both in circulation and undiscovered.
I’m not sure I understand when this will be released. The info out on it and the FCC filing is WAY too soon for it to be a Fall release. This has to be coming out in the next few month….whatever it is.
The ONLY way virtual currency works is if there is a defined limited number of coins in the currency like Bitcoin. And if the currency can just be traded for cash. And if the coins can be used numerous places or traded with people directly.
