You guys should try listening to Paranoid Android in Mario Paint. Just search for it on Youtube. It has a kitty solo, and yes, it kicks ass!!

I do agree in your statement that a display that does not necessarily equal a touch surface. Just because you have a large touchable display doesn’t mean you have to cover the entire screen with touchable objects.
I understand what you are trying to solve with the trackpad method, but allow me to disagree with you on this one: it’s too convoluted. It comes out more as an intricate gesture for solving something so simple. If you ask me, the proper solution, if you really want to keep the larger screen, would be to create a new design language such that all touch and swipe elements are always within the reach of a thumb.
It will certainly mean much more work for Matias Duarte, such as relocating the notifications menu and the pop-up menu bar (which reside at the top of the screen), but if he pulls it off while still retaining Holo’s elegance, then we could have the best of both worlds: a large display for reading and watching, as well as a convenient and intuitive touch area of reasonable size that frees up the other hand.

Hmm. That app does seem to fit my bill. I’ll give it a whirl when I find the time.

Wunderlist is terrible, but supports all the platforms I want — I used it for a long time, without ever really being happy about it.
Interesting words from the man who once called Wunderlist (Almost) Task Management Nirvana

1. My username is iPlay4Free
2. While joining any other MC Server is nice and all, being involved in large projects like those in Vergecraft sounds like something I can contribute to. Plus being survival based, it makes the work all the more thrilling than Creative Servers out there.
3. I’ve hosted a private server before for my family and my friends. I’ve tried to join other servers in the past, but they tend to lag a lot for me.
4. My current plans for Vergecraft is to build my own secret base somewhere in the server outskirts. After that I am planning on recruiting some players to help build a HUGE underwater complex, complete with an underwater railway network. Until then, I can volunteer to help in the Pyramid.
PS: If anyone is interested in helping me out here, feel free to get in touch with me via replies, then perhaps we can talk about the initial designs. :))
5. I am fairly good with Redstone, so feel free to give me a call if some Redstone engineering is required of a project. ;-)

Yeah, it looks really nice. I feel more inclined towards Astrid though because it looks like the more powerful app, while still looking slick. I don’t really care what the syncing service is, as long as I can use it on my laptop with or without an Internet connection.

David Pierce of the Verge actually used to talk about how much he loved Wunderlist. I’d jump on it too if only it had Recurring Tasks. If it did, this thread wouldn’t even exist.

I really find it annoying that no such solution exists. I would think that what I am asking for is not too much, but apparently it is. The only app/service I have seen so far that actually caters to my needs is OmniFocus, but in addition to being iOS exclusive on mobile, it costs A LOT of money.
I am actually kinda hoping that somebody comes along, and makes a more affordable, and Android-compatible alternative to OmniFocus. I sure hope I don’t have to resort to building that app myself. :P
