Weird that Tony didn’t mention the closely held secret that the frame would be constructed with a unimolecular diamond powder/adamantium polymer, created in a zero-gravity environment. I think the source came from TechCrash when one of the journalists was having a quick chat with the almighty (Yes, it was a seance).

Was under the impression that DP as a standard was due to roll out in quantity by mid 2013. Most laptops will be allegedly switching to it as the display connection to replace VGA and DVI. I say ‘allegedly’ because HDMI has been pushing hard into that space, so it looks like we’ll still end up with two connections. Since HDMI was meant to be a tv/media based connector to replace optical, SP/DIF, Scart, S-video etc.

Pretty sure ‘open’ in this instance means “we pay no royalty or licencing. ever. And we can brand the hell out of the device whilst still keeping it within the Tizen specificiations without a damned soul complaining. Its ‘open’ see, and thats another marketing buzzword that we can tack on.”
Hunh. The Sprint superultramon droidevopentizenphone touch (keyboard variant coming soon), now with 9G (2G+3G+4G possible modes). Faster than any other 9G phone on our network*.

Interesting. i’m thinking that only about 30-40% of the comments on here have anything to do with RIM’s ecosystem.
I was getting annoyed because of my blatant RIM fanboi-ism before I realised that the proof of whether the blackberry is dead will be Q4 reporting, and the reading of the comments in Q3 when its supposed to be released. Everything else is a (mostly well-constructed) argument over what’s currently vapourware… I can’t see it or touch the final product in my hands, so it might as well be.
Its enough to make me reach for my mango iOS ICS device.

I hear you. The only thing to do is not get involved and report as a troll. Bring the topic back on track, recommend good comments and ignore the pointless ones after reporting for rampant redneckivity. There’s only one thing worse than a dyamned fool with an axe to grind, and that’s the same person being allowed up into the light and having people respond to them.
