Stop talking about WP7 marketshare. It’s only a year and a half old with more competition than ever. Symbian has been around forever and the drop is expected. Also no Lumia 900’s were factored into these figures

I was just hoping for something that still mentioned what the app is that you’re opening but not staying there forever before it opens. Too many splash screens on apps

I sure hope so, aggravating when I’m switching tasks. Launching from the app list and not resuming the “tombstoned” apps still baffles me as well

Am I the only one who noticed the picture used is the Lumia 800, NOT the Lumia 900? Tsk tsk

On your second note though I’m glad you agree. To a novice user that is extremely confusing and I never understood why they allowed that. You can even have more than one of the same “tombstoned” app in multitasking screens too. And what’s more ridiculous is if you open the app from the application list, it won’t resume the “tombstoned” app you have open but opens an entirely new one!
WHHHYYYYYY??? lol

Fair enough, however I could do without the splash screen animations and could easily be replaced by a transparent logo of the app instead so that it actually looks like it’s doing something.
I think it’s more annoying in Windows 8 but the more terribly designed apps I use in WP7 as well the more patience it tests.

All of these except This Could hurt would suck on iPhone. Who would play on a 3.5" screen? Useless

Thank you for saying this. Honestly people complain because they can’t keep up with the tasks assigned in the challenge and they’re bitter about it. MS picked cross-platform tasks they know the OS works well at.

Then if you haven’t tried it don’t knock it. It worked because you’re talking about it right now no matter who the winner is.

Fair enough about the weather widgets, but what about posting to Facebook? That’s a built in function that simply performs faster. So does Local Scout. What else are you concerned with?
I’m surprised half of the people on here don’t learn all the “tricks” MS does and go challenge it themselves……that’s what I thought

Incorrect, they’re focusing on their strengths, not cheating. They didn’t modify the product to win. They’re just simply faster at it.
