Try to keep in mind that you are not the barometer of what others are doing. You may use your phone to take a picture, but that doesn’t mean everyone does that. You may have left television behind, but most have not.
And not everyone wants to rely on one connection to an Internet provider for all their information and media because when that connection goes down, you lose everything.
So what should have Boston done, not knowing where the guy was or if there were more explosives in his hands? Would you be willing to risk a family members life just so you can pretend it’s a normal day? I am sure most people didn’t mind having a day off work.
How did they sexualize the character with that drawing? If anything, they desexualized her because the drawing was ugly, and not even in the same style as the rest of the princesses.
I am glad they ditched that drawing, but only because it was ugly and poorly drawn, not for whatever reasons people are trying to make up about it.
