I’m just happy about the S4! It’s as close to being the perfect, no compromise android phone that I’ve always wanted :)

In answer to the OT: hells yeah!
Stock android, instant updates, great screen/camera/processor, sd card slot, removable battery…wow! The only downer is the plastic chassis, but in all other regards it ticks every box. Been tempted by Nexus devices in the past but either low storage, no LTE or crappy camera has deterred me. Not so this!
I’ve never found a phone that’s perfect in all regards, it’s always a case of compromising on one thing, be it nicer build at the cost of removable battery/no sd slot, or a great phone but bloated skin, puny processor/ram, lack of LTE or crappy camera. The Google flavoured S4 is the closest to perfection for my tastes. I’ve had a Note previously, physical hardware was so-so, but I really liked it once I’d put CM9/10 on there….but I’m lazy and I cannot be bothered with custom roms these days. This S4 will be right up my street :)

Whilst a valid point, for me personally, a jailbroken iOS device is the best of both worlds. Some degree of control over default apps, customisation etc., while still having access too, imo, better apps and overall a smoother, more cohesive os experience. Plus, all my music is locally stored and I’d personally prefer the default music app in iOS than anything I used with android – yep, I’m one of the few people who doesn’t have a issue with iTunes (on a mac). YMMV of course, I’m talking about myself, and have no interest in a fanboy debate with anyone.
I’ve dabbled with android, used a Note 1 with CM9/10 for a while. I came to the conclusion that I may be tempted to switch for a bigger screen at some point, but it’d have to be a Nexus device – TouchWiz was grotesque, CM10 was an utter delight and really showed up the inadequacies of iOS, but I really can’t be arsed messing about with custom roms again. Unfortunately, the Nexus 4 just didn’t deliver everything I want – minimum 32gb, LTE. Might be tempted by the next Nexus, as I’ve only really loved my iPhone 5 since it was jailbroken. The problem being, of course, the jailbreak can go up in smoke at any moment, with currently no means to restore and re-jb. Heyho!

I’ve said this previously, but I want it see the numbered update icon on his iOS devices, and the list on his Android stuff.
