It’s useful. Shows you enough to see what the notification is about, but if you need to see more, you’ll have to unlock the phone.

Its to access the settings menu. The Nexus doesn’t have any buttons like my Galaxy S2, so the 3 dots are their for the Nexus to access that menu.

Do you really think that they would leave Android and go elsewhere. To Windows Phone? Windows have a stigma attached to it now…..hardly anyone wants a Windows phone (even though it’s good, just like WebOS). These OEM’s are making a lot of money on Android. They’re not going to leave just to go fight over making the same looking phones with Windows.

I like Google maps, I use the Navigation app everyday to figure out which way I need to go in the morning to avoid traffic……I hate the crippled apple version on the iPhone though. So, good for you Apple.
