I feel this is part of Apple’s strategy.

While they say they want to be secretive, they seem very good at leaking some insightful information about what they’re working on without actually letting us see and learn in detail what it is. I think the recent rumors about iOS 7 and OS X 10.9 we’re part of fueling the hype for WWDC.

Can’t wait to see and have the details!

I second that.

Way better than adding buttons on the frame of the phone. I like the fact there are buttons only on 2 sides (top and left) of the frame.

They’re just too busy. My guess:

1. Executive shake up in November 2012
2. Since then, iOS design overhaul under Ive.
3. Haswell coming in June.
4. iPhone 5S under production.
5. Working on thinner iPad with same battery life and thinner Retina display.
6. Working on iPad mini with Retina display.
7. Working on iWatch.
8. Working on software (iLife, iWork, Aperture, …)

Make sure not only that you have a good broadband connection, but that you have a recent router with Wi-Fi 802.11 n so that your Apple TV and iDevice have a good signal.

Very good. Depends what kind of video you want to stream to it.
It has Netflix and Hulu Plus (US only) on it, plus the iTunes Store. Renting/buying a movie or buying a TV show is easy and all your purchases are stored in iTunes in the Cloud, so you don’t have to mind storage space on your ATV.

For such streaming services, I recommend a broadband connection of at 8 mpbs (down) and 1 mbps (up) so you can get at least 720p HD.

If you want to stream videos to it from a computer on the same home network, you need iTunes opened on the computer and Home Sharing enabled in iTunes and on the Apple TV. If you have a collection of home videos, you need to add them to iTunes and make sure they are in “.mov”, “.m4v”, or “.mp4” format. They will then show on the Apple TV.

Setting up Home Sharing for Apple TV

If they are not in one of these formats, you can use Adapter or MP4tools to convert them. Depending on the size and format, it might take a while.

Very easy. You need at least an iPad 2, iPhone 4S, iPad mini or iPod Touch (5th gen).

I have an iPad mini and Apple TV 2. I can mirror anything (homescreen, apps) from the iPad to the ATV.
