Sprint will be launching the Android-powered Motorola Admiral on October 23rd for $99.99 after a $50 rebate. This isn't just another midrange Android phone, though: rumored as the Pax, the Admiral falls into Sprint's range of new Direct Connect products that don't use iDEN — service that the company is trying to phase out as it rolls out LTE over the next several years. That means that you've got push-to-talk capability (over Sprint's EV-DO Rev. A network) alongside a 3.1-inch VGA display, 5-megapixel camera, and full QWERTY keyboard. It'll only be available for order on the 23rd, but look for a full launch in stores on November 13th.
